Chapter 1461 Executive Council
The 2010 Executive Council was voted in on 1 December 2009 and is actively engaged in sustaining a viable organization that represents the McChord enlisted force. The council has a full agenda this year with the goal of increasing membership, improving relations both within the military and civilian communities, as well as enhancing the quality of life on JBLM McChord Field, Wa. The order and organization of executive council positions are strictly maintained.

Responsibilities: Assumes presidential duties in President’s absence. Align strategic/operational efforts. Focusing on strategic direction, provides operational leadership of the Chapter. Advise/supervises the Executive Council on duties and responsibilities. Oversees Chapter functions and programs. Execute any other duties as delegated by the president. Responsibilities: Members Bad Addresses -- Manages chapter’s retention and bad address programs. Supports Membership Chairman to keep the Chapter President and Vice President informed on membership trends. Submits monthly report on activities, initiatives and status of membership issues. Responsibilities: Communication -- Provides information to chapter membership and the public about Chapter and AFSA activities. Designs, develops, and maintains chapter’s website. Responsibilities: The Senior Advisor to the President is an experienced former Chapter President. As such, he advises the President on all matters pertaining to the strategic leadership, management and administration of functions assigned to the Chapter. He also advises on strategic alignments between the Chapter and the Division for effectiveness in the achievement of the AFSA mission, vision, and goals. Responsibilities: Disseminates AFSA information/involves Airmen (E1 - E4) on all AFSA activities. Acquires feedback about Airmen issues/presents topics for planning and action inputs. Encourages Airmen to take an active role in AFSA/coordinates AFSA-sponsored, Airmen-oriented activities. Serves as liaison between AFSA Chapter and Airmen organizations on McChord.
