  Chapter 1461

Membership Information

The Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) is a federally chartered, non-profit organization representing the professional and personal interests of more than 120,000 active duty and retired enlisted members of the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and Veterans.  AFSA also provides family members, former enlisted personnel and other interested parties the opportunity to join and support the association as members of AFSA or the AFSA Auxiliary.

Since its founding in 1961, AFSA has led the way on both Capitol Hill and in the Pentagon and has earned the recognition and respect of Washington's leaders for its sustained role as the "Voice of the Enlisted". The AFSA mission, at the headquarters level, is to advocate improved quality-of-life and economic fairness that will support the well-being of Air Force enlisted personnel and their families.

2 Sep 2009 - A note from our Division 14 President!

To All Recruiters and AFSA Professionals,

What a great start to September.  We are less than a day and a half into this month and we’ve logged in 173 recruit and retains so far—you all rock! At this pace, we can make up for our AFSA wide recruiting summer vacation in July and August!

·         Our recruit and retain high water mark for the year was March with a whopping 2383—up to the challenge?

·         We are at 14,218 recruit and retains for the year.  Last year’s total was 17052.  We are on pace to pass last year’s numbers  in October.  HUA!

By the way—my wife says thanks to you all for your voice.  Retiree TRICARE costs stayed at about $435 dollars instead of increasing to over $1100 dollars as proposed in Congress.  She bought a new purse and stuff for landscaping J.  And the good news—she’s going to let me help with the landscaping! (Ouch)

Keep up the GREAT work and God Bless you all!

CMS (Ret) Dan Yeomans
